Lifts and blocks
In the newer blocks by the river and Granary Wharf, the lift decides the whole move. We run loads to keep it free for other residents where we can and shield the walls and doors to stay on the right side of the building manager. If it is out of action or too tight for a sofa, we take the stairs and price it fairly.
Give us the floor, whether the lift takes furniture, and any booking the block insists on. That is usually the line between a tidy hour and a long afternoon.
Stairwells and doors
Leeds has no shortage of old houses carved into flats, and none were laid out with a modern corner sofa in mind. Our crew knows how to turn a mattress round a half-landing and when a bed frame has to come apart to clear a doorway. We would rather spend two minutes unbolting a leg than force it and mark your walls.
If something genuinely will not make the stairs, we say so before the day rather than on moving morning.
Communal entrances
Flats usually mean a shared door you cannot prop open and a car park with a height barrier no Luton will duck under. We come ready for both, whether that is a shorter carry from the nearest legal stopping point or an early start to beat the resident parking near the centre.
Mention the entrance and the parking when you book and we will plan the load to suit.
The figure
Flat moves are priced on the number of rooms, the floors involved and the distance, not on a shrug and a guess. Give us the basics and you get a clear figure with nothing tucked out of sight.
Send us the date and we will hold a slot for the day your tenancy or completion lands.
